Job summary

Standard Control Systems is seeking an experienced BMS Field Service Engineer to deliver maintenance support and field service across BMS/HVAC systems. The role is primarily based in Dublin with travel to locations nationwide, requiring electrical expertise and strong fault-finding capabilities.

You will diagnose faults, optimise control strategies, and provide remote and on-site technical support to client sites across commercial environments. Training on BMS platforms will be provided.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in BMS service with an electrical background.
• Qualified Electrician with fault-finding and diagnostic capability across BMS/HVAC systems.
• Experience with Niagara N4/Tridium, Trend, Siemens and Allen Bradley.
• Good knowledge of Modbus and BACnet.
• Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend reactive service callouts and diagnose BMS, controls and HVAC faults.
• Carry out fault finding on controllers, field devices, sensors and panels.
• Repair, replace or reconfigure defective components and restore systems.
• Investigate intermittent issues and provide long-term solutions.
• Support preventative maintenance and system health checks.
• Coordinate with teams to resolve technical issues and mentor apprentices.
