Job summary

Standard Control Systems in Ireland seeks a Building Management Systems (BMS) Design Engineer to design and configure intelligent BMS solutions for M&E HVAC plants and building services, enhancing energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

You will program BMS controllers, develop user-friendly GUIs, and produce comprehensive control narratives and technical documentation for interfacing with third-party systems. CAD familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Clear written and verbal communication with clients/end users.
Strong attention to detail and organised documentation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with design manager and project team to capture client requirements and translate them into functional BMS design and operating strategies.
Identify design gaps and raise RFIs through project channels.
Produce clear control narrative documents detailing system functionality and sequences of operation.
Program BMS controllers to ensure coordinated operation and energy efficiency.
Develop intuitive GUI configurations for end users to monitor/building systems.
Provide technical documentation for interfacing with third party systems and SFAT/SAT testing guidance.
Maintain accurate design records and support continuous improvement of standard tools.
