We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer - Post Controls Install to support the final stages of project delivery, taking ownership of commissioning activities from system validation through to customer handover. This role combines technical expertise, problem solving, stakeholder management, and on-site leadership to ensure projects are delivered successfully and meet the highest quality standards.
Lead commissioning activities following completion of BMS controls installation across a range of projects.
Take ownership of testing, validation, and handover activities to ensure systems operate as designed.
Work closely with Project Managers, software engineers, installation teams, consultants, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Support development and review of controller strategies, graphics packages, and commissioning documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and final project delivery.
Coordinate on-site commissioning activities and act as the key technical contact during the commissioning phase.
Support customer demonstrations, witness testing, training, and project handover activities.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with quality, safety, and customer requirements.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships while providing a high level of technical support and expertise.
Apply your knowledge of BMS and HVAC systems to ensure successful project delivery.
Work proactively to identify and resolve issues before they impact project milestones.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve commissioning and handover objectives.
Take a structured approach to testing, validation, and documentation.
Provide technical guidance and support to customers and project teams.
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout project delivery.
Experience commissioning Building Management Systems (BMS) on commercial, pharmaceutical, industrial, or data centre projects.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and associated control strategies.
Experience supporting project delivery from commissioning through to client handover.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across BMS systems, controllers, field devices, and associated equipment.
Experience working directly with customers, consultants, and commissioning teams.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities across active projects.
Customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
Experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects.
Experience with BMS platforms such as Metasys, Niagara, Trend, Distech, Schneider, Siemens, or similar systems.
Exposure to energy management and system integration solutions.
Experience supporting remote access, networking, and connected building technologies.
Electrical, Controls, Building Services, or Engineering qualification.
Previous experience acting as a lead commissioning engineer or technical lead on projects.
