Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Mechatronic Engineer (Biosensors) in Ireland (Limerick) to drive the design, development, and validation of a next‑generation biosensor platform.

The role combines electrochemical and optical sensing with microfluidics, electronics, and control software to enable accurate biomarker measurements for diagnostics. You will lead benchtop systems, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support experiments, troubleshooting, and process improvements throughout

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (NFQ level 7/8) in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Biomedical Eng or related field.
  • Level 6 qualification plus relevant industry experience acceptable.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting issues and solutions.
  • Hands-on with manufacturing and prototyping processes: 3D printing, injection molding, fabrication and assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of mechanical and fluidic test components from concept to deployment.
  • Design, build and optimize benchtop characterization and measurement systems for biosensor evaluation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to solve complex product development challenges.
  • Support investigations, data collection, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
