Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and optimize Biopharma MUT and SUT pump systems with hands-on manufacturing and engineering expertise to ensure safe, compliant production and improved process efficiency.

You will lead process development, drive Lean improvements, collaborate with Design Engineering and QA, support NPI readiness, and ensure documentation, training, and adherence to GMP/ISO standards across operations.

Qualifications

• Essential: a Level 8 STEM degree.
• 4 years experience supporting manufacturing operations in a technical/engineering environment.
• Experience in problem solving, root cause investigation, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for manufacturing issues relating to Biopharma product range of pump assemblies and related equipment.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to production teams to resolve assembly, testing, and product performance issues.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Support day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring production targets, quality requirements, and customer commitments are achieved.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing processes for Biopharma pump systems.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, waste elimination, and productivity enhancement.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering and R&D teams to improve product design, manufacturability, and serviceability.
