Job summary

Viking Pump, Inc. in Ireland seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support and optimize Biopharma MUT and SUT pump systems, collaborating with Design Engineering, Quality, and Production for safe, compliant manufacturing.

You will lead process development, NPI readiness, and Lean initiatives, translate designs into robust manufacturing processes, and ensure GMP/ ISO compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• A Level 8 degree in a relevant STEM discipline.
• 4 years experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• Experience in problem solving, root cause investigation, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Engineering Support: primary technical contact for Biopharma pump assemblies and related equipment.
• Process Development & Improvement: develop robust manufacturing processes and lead Lean initiatives.
• Product & Process Engineering: collaborate with Design Engineering & R&D to improve manufacturability.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): lead manufacturing readiness for new products and changes.
• Quality & Compliance: ensure GMP/ISO compliance and manage quality investigations.
• Documentation & Technical Systems: create and maintain procedures and manufacturing data.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance.
• Health, Safety & Environment: promote safe practices and risk assessments.
