Job summary

Tandem Project Management Ltd. in Waterford seeks an Equipment Engineer to support automation and equipment upgrade projects across Lyo, CLU, PMS, Autoclave and control-system platforms.

You will coordinate OEMs, ITS, Validation and Quality teams, manage multi-phase deployments, and ensure servers and control systems are prepared, validated, and deployed correctly. The role requires a degree in engineering and 5+ years in pharma/biotech GMP environments with strong project planning and CQV

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Process/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years delivering automation or equipment projects in pharmaceutical/biotech GMP environments.
• Strong understanding of GMP/GDP, validation lifecycle, cleanroom standards, and aseptic processing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver automation and equipment upgrade projects within a regulated biopharmaceutical environment across multiple platforms.
• Coordinate OEMs, ITS, Automation, Validation, and Quality teams to ensure compliant, right-first-time execution.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of projects (schedule, cost, scope, safety, quality, compliance).
• Lead FAT/SAT activities, documentation, change controls, and qualification support.
• Ensure servers, control systems, and infrastructure are prepared, validated, and deployed correctly.
• Track change control actions to closure and maintain project governance.
• Provide weekly progress updates to stakeholders.
• Lyo/CLu SCADA lifecycle management – multi-phase upgrades with ORISE (CIM).
• Lyo Shelf Stack Safety Interlock upgrades – safety interlocks enhancements.
• PMS upgrade – virtual server and system upgrade.
• Autoclave 3 Deep Revamp – control-system and server upgrade.
• Servers & Control System Revamp – multi-phase historian, UMS, Lyo server upgrades.
• Lyo Observation Upgrades – IPC and control-system upgrades.
• RAMEN ID Analyser – support as required.
