Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Dublin is seeking a Basic Grade Medical Scientist specialized in Biochemistry to join the on-site Laboratory team. You will support routine processing, quality control, and adherence to accreditation standards.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Scientist and Laboratory Manager, you will work across disciplines, develop procedures, participate in audits, and contribute to patient-centered care within hospital services.

Qualifications

• Membership or eligibility for the Academy of Medical Laboratory Science (AMLS) or equivalent.
• Registration with CORU.
• Minimum of 1 year in service training across all disciplines.
• Experience on emergency on-call rotas (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing, maintaining and enforcing procedures relating to all areas of the laboratory and its related testing equipment.
• Assist in applying and implementing operational procedures up to best practice standards.
• Participate in quality management programmes and audits.
