Job summary

Arup in Dublin seeks students pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or BIM & Information Management to join a multidisciplinary team. You will create 3D models and 2D drawings, coordinate information, and contribute to a sustainable future.

The role offers cross-discipline exposure, QA/QC involvement, and opportunities to develop skills with Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Revit–based tools. Strong English and problem-solving are valued.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or BIM & Information Management.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D and Navisworks is advantageous.
• Programming in Python, Dynamo or Rhino - Inside - Revit is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and 2D drawings of buildings and structures.
• Assist with handling all incoming/outgoing model and drawing information.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure designs fit together and meet requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues in a changing digital coordination environment.
• Develop concepts into accurate models/drawings through direct communication.
• Support submissions and QA/QC processes.

The opportunity

As part of this role you will assist or team in:

• Creating 3D models and 2D drawing documentation of buildings and civil structures
• Assist with handling all in-coming and out-going model and drawing information
• Opportunity to work across disciplines to ensure an overall design fits together and satisfieseach discipline's individual requirements
• Troubleshoot problems that arise in a rapidly changing digital coordination environment
• Develop engineer's concepts and sketches into accurate models and drawings, through direct communications
• Help with submissions and ensure proper QA/QC protocols are implemented

Is this role right for you?

We're looking for students who are currently pursuing aDiploma/Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or BIM & Information Management

We also value:

• Knowledge of Civil 3D and Navisworks would be an advantage
• Programming skills using Python, Dynamo or Rhino - Inside - Revit would be an advantage
• Knowledge of information management to BS/PAS1192 and ISO19650-1/2 would be an advantage
• Candidate must be detail and accuracy oriented
• Good command in both written and spoken English
