Job summary

Dornan Engineering Group in Cork is seeking a BIM Project Manager to lead design and BIM programme management for high-value projects across Europe, UK and Ireland. Based at our Cork head office, you will coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, manage BIM resources, track deliverables and report progress weekly, ensuring alignment with company standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design & BIM Programme Management - Develop and manage the design activity schedule, track deliverables, progress, % complete, and report weekly on performance and lookahead.
• Design Coordination & Compliance - Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams ensuring compliance with standards and technical review.
• BIM Resource & Supply Chain Management - Manage internal and external BIM resources, review scope and costs, track performance.
• Risk, Change & Commercial Support - Identify, manage, and record design risks, deviations, and change; compile evidence for commercial recovery.
• Stakeholder & Client Interface - Lead coordination with clients, contractors and external parties; produce records and minutes.
• Quality, H&S & Buildability - Promote best-value design, strong H&S focus, and buildability strategies.
• Information & Documentation Control - Oversee interfaces, redline drawings, O&M documentation and information flow.
• Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing - Drive innovation, lessons learned and contribute to standards and procedures.

Based in our Head Office in Cork, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Digital Construction team as a BIM Project Manager, supporting the delivery of our projects which cover a wide variety.

Based in our Head Office in Cork, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Digital Construction team as a BIM Project Manager, supporting the delivery of our projects which cover a wide variety.

Your day will include:

• Design & BIM Programme Management - Develop and manage the design activity schedule (TIDP), track deliverables, progress, % complete, and report weekly on performance and lookahead.
• Design Coordination & Compliance - Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams (process, mechanical, electrical, BIM) ensuring compliance with company standards, procedures, and qualified technical review.
• BIM Resource & Supply Chain Management - Manage internal and external BIM resources, review scope and costs, track performance, and ensure supply chain compliance.
• Risk, Change & Commercial Support - Identify, manage, and record design risks, assumptions, deviations, and change; compile evidence and reports to support commercial recovery.
• Stakeholder & Client Interface - Lead coordination with clients, contractors, and external parties; represent the business in workshops and meetings, producing accurate records and minutes.
• Quality, H&S & Buildability - Promote best-value, robust design solutions with strong H&S focus, supporting buildability, prefabrication strategies, and safe operations and maintenance.
• Information & Documentation Control - Oversee interface schedules, builders work processes, O&M documentation, redline drawings, and structured information flow across the project lifecycle.
• Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing - Drive innovation, post-project reviews, lessons learned, performance improvement, and contribute to company standards, methods, and procedures.
