Job summary

Collins McNicholas Group is seeking an experienced BIM Modeller to join the Balbriggan project team in Co. Dublin.

The role focuses on producing 3D BIM models for precast concrete elements and coordinating with engineers and designers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. Candidates should have strong detailing skills, proficiency in Revit/Tekla, and familiarity with building regulations relevant to external façades.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with precast concrete and façade sectors desirable.
• Proficient in Revit and Tekla; strong detailing skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D BIM models of precast concrete elements and associated components in collaboration with engineers and other modellers.
• Create and maintain 3D models using Revit and/or Tekla.
• Produce accurate 2D coordination and installation drawings.
• Liaise regularly with external design team members to coordinate technical information and resolve design queries.
• Ensure all model files and drawings are accurate, consistent and fully coordinated.
• Attend site visits as required to verify model and drawing accuracy.
• Identify and manage buildability issues relating to the external building envelope.
• Support the delivery of external façade works in line with agreed project programmes.
• Maintain accurate and professional project records, reports and technical documentation.
• Prioritise workloads effectively to meet project deadlines and delivery targets.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Job Title: BIM Modeller

Location:Balbriggan, Co. Dublin

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced BIM Modeller to join our client, an established and market-leading specialist contractor in the architectural precast concrete and façade sector.

The successful candidate will have strong 3D modelling and detailing skills, a good understanding of building regulations and construction details, and the ability to produce accurate, coordinated models and drawings for precast concrete and external façade projects.

• Produce detailed 3D BIM models of precast concrete elements and associated components in collaboration with engineers and other modellers.

Main Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry, with precast concrete experience desirable.
• Experience working within a 3D BIM modelling environment.
• Strong technical detailing and modelling skills.
• Good understanding of construction methods, building regulations and technical construction details.
• Proficiency in Revit, Tekla or other relevant industry-specific software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against deadlines.
