Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Dublin is seeking a Civil BIM Technician with 3+ years of experience to produce coordinated BIM models and detailed drawings for civil projects. You will contribute to a varied portfolio across Ireland and internationally, using the latest design tools in a supportive team environment.

The role focuses on building robust 3D BIM models, coordinating across disciplines, and maintaining BIM standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience producing BIM models and technical drawings for civil/structural projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with BIM standards and ISO 19650.
• Experience coordinating across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage accurate 3D BIM models for civil projects with full coordination.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts and schedules from BIM models.
• Promote BIM standards and workflows across project teams.
• Support clash detection and resolve coordination issues across civil, structural and MEP models.

Civil BIM Technician
Location: Dublin

A Civil BIM Technician with 3+ years' experience is required to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering projects across Ireland and internationally. The successful candidate will play a central role in producing coordinated BIM models and technical drawings across a varied portfolio of civil engineering projects. This consultancy invests strongly in its people and offers a supportive team environment with access to the latest design tools and technology.

Projects Include

• Residential and apartment developments
• Commercial and mixed-use schemes
• Civil infrastructure projects
• International engineering collaborations
• Projects spanning from €5m to €100m+ in value

Responsibilities

• Build and manage accurate 3D BIM models for civil engineering projects, ensuring full coordination across all relevant disciplines.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts and schedules from BIM models to support design and construction delivery.
• Adhere to and promote internal BIM standards and workflows to maintain consistency and quality across all project deliverables.
• Support clash detection exercises and assist in resolving coordination issues between civil, structural and MEP models.

Requirements

• A qualification in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience producing BIM models and technical drawings within a civil or structural engineering environment.
• Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD with a good working knowledge of BIM standards and project workflows.
• Understanding of model coordination, data management and relevant industry standards, including ISO 19650.
