Job summary

DCT is seeking a BIM Coordinator MEP for a full-time on-site position in Dublin. The role focuses on coordinating MEP models, ensuring integration within BIM, and supporting project teams with clash detection, documentation, and digital workflows.

Ideal candidates will have a technical degree in engineering or architecture and proven BIM coordination experience across complex projects. On-site collaboration with architects, engineers, and construction teams is essential.

Role Description

The BIM Coordinator MEP is a full-time, on-site role based in Dublin. This position is responsible for coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) models, ensuring accurate integration within overall Building Information Models and alignment with project requirements. Day-to-day tasks include managing clash detection and resolution, maintaining model standards, and collaborating with architects, engineers, and construction teams to support coordinated design and delivery. The role involves preparing and updating BIM documentation, supporting project teams with model-related queries, and assisting in the implementation of digital workflows across projects. The BIM Coordinator MEP also contributes to continuous improvement of BIM processes, helps train project stakeholders on BIM tools and standards, and supports project management by providing accurate model-based information for planning and reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong BIM Coordination skills, including experience leading coordination meetings and managing multidisciplinary BIM workflows.
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms and tools, with the ability to develop, manage, and audit models to project standards.
• Solid understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within complex building projects.
• Background in Architecture, engineering, or a related built environment discipline, with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Project Management practices, including planning, progress tracking, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant technical qualification or degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders on-site.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality, safety, and sustainable design and construction.
• Experience in data centers or other mission-critical, industrial, or healthcare projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with industry BIM standards, classification systems, and common data environments is beneficial.
