Job summary

Navartis Ltd is seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator to support the delivery of complex MEP projects in live construction environments in Ireland. You will coordinate multidisciplinary models, produce construction drawings, manage clash detection and maintain accurate project information from design through to handover.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in BIM, Engineering, Building Services or Construction, a trade background, or equivalent industry experience.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a BIM Coordination, BIM Modelling or MEP Coordination role.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, service coordination, construction sequencing and installation methodologies.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and Navisworks, including model development and clash detection.
• Experience producing coordinated MEP construction and installation drawings from Revit models.
• Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM documentation requirements.
• Experience using ACC for model collaboration and issue management.
• Experience supporting record models and handover deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain BIM models, drawings and project information within CDEs, ensuring accuracy and currency.
• Undertake clash detection and manage resolution through to close-out.
• Review design information and technical documentation for discrepancies and buildability issues.
• Develop and coordinate MEP construction, installation and fabrication drawings from Revit models.
• Collaborate with engineering, project, site and specialist contractor teams to resolve coordination challenges.
• Ensure compliance with BIM standards and information management requirements.
• Utilise ACC to manage model collaboration and publish coordination issues.
• Maintain drawing registers and model exchange records.
• Mentor junior BIM team members and reflect installed conditions from site surveys.

BIM Coordinator – MEP

The Role

An established engineering and construction business is looking to appoint a BIM Coordinator to support the delivery of complex MEP projects within live construction environments.

As a BIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary models, producing MEP construction and fabrication information, managing clash detection and maintaining accurate project information from design through to installation and handover.

Working closely with BIM, Engineering, Project and Site teams, alongside designers, clients and specialist contractors, you will ensure models and drawings are accurate, coordinated and suitable for construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain BIM models, drawings and project information within Common Data Environments (CDEs), ensuring information is accurate, current and controlled.

• Undertake clash detection, identify coordination issues and manage their resolution through to close-out.

• Review design information and technical documentation, identifying discrepancies, missing information and potential buildability issues.

• Develop and coordinate MEP construction, installation and fabrication drawings in line with project requirements.

• Collaborate with engineering, project, site and specialist contractor teams to resolve technical and coordination challenges.

• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, ISO 19650 principles, quality procedures and information management requirements.

• Utilise Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) to manage model collaboration, information sharing, publishing and coordination issues.

• Maintain drawing registers, model exchange records, coordination trackers and production programmes.

• Support and mentor junior BIM team members, reviewing outputs to ensure quality and consistency.

• Incorporate site surveys, redlines, point-cloud data and other verification information into models and drawings to reflect installed conditions.

• Support the production of record models, as-built drawings, asset information and project handover deliverables.

• Attend site as required to support coordination, installation verification and wider project delivery activities.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in BIM, Engineering, Building Services or Construction, a trade background, or equivalent industry experience.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a BIM Coordination, BIM Modelling or MEP Coordination role.

• Strong understanding of MEP systems, service coordination, construction sequencing, builders' work requirements and installation methodologies.

• Proficiency in Revit MEP and Navisworks, including model development, model federation, clash detection and issue resolution.

• Experience producing coordinated MEP construction and installation drawings from Revit models.

• Working knowledge of ISO 19650, project BIM documentation and information requirements.

• Experience producing and coordinating fabrication drawings, assemblies and secondary support information.

• Practical experience using ACC for model collaboration, coordination and issue management.

• Experience supporting record models, as-built drawings and asset information through to project handover.

• Previous experience working on live construction projects, with exposure to installation, commissioning and handover activities.

• Willingness to attend site and work within live construction environments as required.
