Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Billing Manager for an Irish business in South Dublin on a 12-month FTC with hybrid working. You will lead a team of five billing professionals across B2B and B2C, oversee the full billing cycle, revenue assurance, and changes to tariffs, while partnering with Finance, IT and Customer Operations to drive process improvements.

The role requires 5–7+ years in Billing/Finance Ops, strong leadership, energy billing knowledge in the Irish market, and Stamp 4 or EU

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years' experience in Billing Operations, Energy Billing, Utilities, Finance Operations, Revenue Assurance, or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing operational teams within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of energy billing processes and the Irish energy market, with expertise in billing controls, revenue assurance, and operational change.
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills, with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Stamp 4 or EU Passport required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 5 billing professionals across B2B and B2C accounts.
• Oversee the full billing cycle, ensuring invoices, statements and account adjustments are accurate and delivered on time.
• Manage revenue assurance, income collection and annual tariff/rate changes.
• Maintain strong billing controls and governance, identifying and resolving discrepancies and process issues.
• Take ownership of escalated billing queries and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, accuracy and the overall customer experience.
• Work closely with Finance, IT and Customer Operations on system improvements and billing changes.
• Support wider business transformation and process improvement projects throughout the 12-month contract.

• Third-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline (desirable).
• Stamp 4 or EU Passport required.
