Job summary

Queen Creek Unified School District is seeking a Community Education/ Before/After School Assistant to support the site leader and supervise children in the before/after school program, including during school breaks.

The role is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a 180-day/9-month term and hourly compensation per the QCUSD salary schedule. Compliance requirements include background clearance and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 12 months experience as teacher/caregiver aide or 12 months of volunteering in child care.
• Must pass a background clearance and obtain AZ IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Excellent attendance record and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Enjoys working with children.

Responsibilities

• Support QCUSD Vision, Mission and Goals.
• Monitors and assists children to ensure safety in before/after care settings.
• Maintain a safe environment per licensing requirements.
• Work with peers as a team player.
• Work with children of various ages while maintaining confidentiality.
• Set up rooms for activities and clean up after activities.
• Attend required staff meetings and trainings.
• Interacts positively with parents/guardians.
• Perform other duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
