Job summary

Sherpa Kids is seeking a Programme Assistant at Dangan National School, Meath, to support daily activities for school-aged children. The role is part-time, with early morning and after-school shifts from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include supervising children, assisting with homework, leading indoor and outdoor activities, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment. Garda vetting and two written references are required before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience with school-aged children (minimum 1 year)
• Basic knowledge of child development
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage)
• At least 2 written references checks are required before starting
• Monday to Friday 7:50am to 8:50am and 1:40pm to 6:00pm

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children each day
• Bring lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
