Job summary

The Hardiman is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our luxury property in Galway. You will deliver outstanding service and have intimate knowledge of our beverage menu, including bespoke cocktails, with the ability to recommend pairings and be responsive to guest needs.

Ideal candidates will have cocktail/mixology experience, a background in a 4/5-star hotel setting, and availability midweek and on weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel experience in a 4/5-star property.
• Experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
• Mixology/cocktail preparation experience.
• Midweek and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Greet regular guests by name.
• Know beverages and wine; make recommendations.
• Prepare bespoke and signature cocktails.

The Role

• Delivery of amazing service and consistently high standards at all time.


• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly using their name.


• Ensure a good working knowledge of food, all beverages and wine. Be able to make recommendations.


• Preparation of bespoke and signature cocktails.


• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.


• Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.


• Assisting in lounge, restaurant or other departments as required.

The Person

• Previous hotel experience in a 4/5-star hotel property is preferred.


• Cocktail/Mixology experience is desirable.


• Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced environment.


• Previous experience in a busy food and beverage operation.


• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.


• Micros Experience would be preferable.


• Mid Week and Weekend availability required.
