Job summary

The Hot Box Sauna in Cork is seeking a friendly Barista to join our Studio team. You will deliver a high-quality café experience to complement our wellness offerings, handle orders, and provide warm customer service.

The role is part-time and permanent, onsite at the Victoria Road café. Shifts run Mon-Sun; up to 39 hours per week, with a €14.50 hourly rate. Training in HACCP and food safety is provided.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience in high-quality or specialty coffee environments.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience with POS and following SOPs.
• Right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, welcoming and friendly experience to all customers.
• Take orders efficiently and accurately using the POS system.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, teas, and beverages to brand standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all work areas, equipment and seating areas.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and restock supplies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our team at the Studio in Cork to deliver a high-quality café experience that complements our wellness offering.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about coffee, hospitality, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Deliver a warm, welcoming and friendlyexperience to all customers.

• Engage with customers to create a positive and relaxed café environment and turn them into regulars.

• Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.

• Take orders efficiently and accurately using the POS system.

• Handle customer feedback and queries in a courteous manner.

Coffee & Food Preparation

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, teas, and beverages to brand standards.

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of light food offerings.

• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.

• Ensure all food and beverages are served promptly.

Daily Operations

• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the café.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all work areas, equipment, and seating areas.

• Assist with opening and closing procedures.

• Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels.

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines.

Friendly, reliable, and passionate about coffee and delivering excellent customer service.

Required Skills and Experience

• Relevant hospitality experience, ideallyworking in a high-quality or specialty coffee environment.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Proven track record of following food safety, hygiene, and standard operating procedures.

• Experience with POS.

• Right to work in Ireland without restrictions (Work Permit Sponsorship is not available).

• Ability to work flexible shifts Mon - Sun from the Victoria Road location in Cork.
