Job summary

METT Singapore is seeking a friendly Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold coffee beverages with consistency and care. You will maintain knowledge of all offerings and deliver attentive service in a fast-paced luxury setting.

You will follow recipes, keep a clean station, assist with stock and presentation, and respond to guest inquiries with a positive, proactive attitude, helping to create memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury lifestyle or hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of coffee, including different coffee types and their regions of origin.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and service-oriented attitude.
• Positive, energetic and enthusiastic personality.
• Strong team spirit with the ability to work cooperatively with colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to quality and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold coffee beverages efficiently and consistently in accordance with established standards.
• Provide friendly, attentive and professional customer service at all times.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all coffee and beverage offerings to confidently explain products and make appropriate recommendations to guests.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all coffee and beverage products.
• Follow approved beverage recipes, preparation methods and operating procedures.
• Ensure all beverages and food items are presented attractively and according to established presentation standards.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, checking and stocking supplies as required.
• Follow stock rotation and product sorting standards to maintain product quality and professional presentation.
• Comply with all health, safety, food hygiene and sanitation requirements at all times.
• Operate all equipment and work materials correctly and responsibly, ensuring that equipment and work areas are kept clean and well maintained.
• Respond to guest enquiries, feedback and complaints in a courteous and professional manner, seeking assistance from the supervisor when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming barista station throughout the shift.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities related to the role as assigned by the Management.
