Job summary

Cashel Palace Hotel in Ireland seeks a reliable Banqueting Operations Assistant to prepare and present our banqueting spaces for weddings, conferences, and private events. You will work closely with the Banqueting and F&B teams to ensure rooms, equipment, and service areas are ready for delivery.

The role focuses on operational preparation rather than food service, with midweek hours (24‑32 per week) and a hands‑on, detail‑driven approach.

Qualifications

• Availability to work 24-32 hours per week.
• Midweek availability is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation standards.
• Good organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, can‑do attitude.
• Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Prepare banquet and function rooms for weddings, conferences, meetings, and private events.
• Set and dress tables to exacting standards, including linens, glassware, cutlery, crockery, and decorative elements.
• Polish cutlery, glassware, and service equipment.
• Ensure all function spaces are clean, organised, and event‑ready.
• Assist with room turnarounds between events.
• Maintain banqueting stores, equipment, and storage areas.
• Organise, move, and set up furniture and event equipment.
• Support stock control and replenishment of operational supplies.
• Work alongside the Events and Food & Beverage teams to deliver seamless event preparation.
• Adhere to health, safety, hygiene, and manual handling procedures.
• Provide occasional support during event service when operationally required.
