Job summary

eir is seeking a Backup and Disaster Recovery Consultant to join its Consultancy & Delivery team in Ireland. You will install, configure and maintain backup/DR systems, servers, SANs and hypervisors, while integrating into SAN and automating with scripting tools.

The role emphasizes proactive monitoring, technical documentation, and mentoring, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Practice. Relevant vendor certs are desirable.

Qualifications

• More than 3 years of work experience in similar jobs.
• Proven experience with Windows and Linux based scripting (PowerShell, bash, Ansible, Terraform, Python).
• Experience in working with automation, DevOps or containerization tools.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix, HPE VME, OpenShift).
• Working experience with Linux CentOS (Rocky), RedHat, Ubuntu (Desirable).
• Proven experience with Dell server, HPE Server or other relevant vendor servers.
• Experience with TCP/IP Networking.
• Systematism and precision in work.
• Proactive approach and providing solutions.
• Relevant vendor certification (VCP, NCP, RHSCA, VMCE, etc) (Desirable).
• Organizational and mentoring skills.
