Job summary

Sabeo is seeking a Senior Backend Developer for a 12-month daily rate contract in North Dublin, with three days onsite per week. The role focuses on building scalable server-side logic, secure APIs, and robust back-end infrastructure.

You will work across Node.js/TypeScript, collaborate with architects, and drive delivery in an agile environment while ensuring high quality, well-documented code and smooth integration with front-end and third-party systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend/Back End Developer in complex environments.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript for server‑side development.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching (Redis).
• Experience with Azure and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and microservices using Node.js.
• Architect secure, high-performance APIs (REST/GraphQL) for web and mobile.
• Integrate with third-party systems and data sources.
• Design and maintain database schemas (SQL/NoSQL) for data-driven apps.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure production stability and security.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects on data governance and cloud standards.
• Provide technical leadership during sprint planning and refinement.
