Job Description
General Responsibility:
The Avionics Technician is responsible for maintenance and repairs to keep aircraft working safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Compliance with organisational policies and procedures detailed in the Atlantic Aviation Group MOE and supporting manuals.
- Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions.
- Adhering to safety and deactivation/reactivation requirements.
- Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner.
- Complying with internal and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Complying with the safety policy.
- Signing off maintenance tasks performed or supervised within the scope and limitations of an authorisation, where issued.
- Notifying crew leader and inspector of mistakes requiring rectification to re‑establish required maintenance standards.
- Removal and installation of electrical components.
- Replacing connectors.
- Wire running and replacements.
- Replacing antenna at height.
- Use of general test equipment.
- Compliance with AMM and aircraft drawings.
- Compliance with H&S practices.
- Good computer literacy.
- Operating powered and non‑powered ground equipment.
- Completing aircraft maintenance documentation and entering data that is accurate and complete.
Candidate Requirements
Must hold a valid aircraft standards‑based qualification with at least 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience; knowledge of aeronautical regulations PART‑145 and PART‑66; fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in Boeing/Wide Body aircraft.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Proficient organisational skills and ability to work efficiently.
