Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Engineer: Aviation to join our Dublin team. The role focuses on delivery across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines, with on-site responsibilities throughout construction and a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and liaison with stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years of aviation project experience, strong delivery knowledge, and a track record of coordinating across multiple disciplines in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience on major civil/building works projects in the aviation sector
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, engineering and delivery around construction methodologies
• Experience documenting best practice construction development and implementation frameworks, policies and standards
• Experience dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation
• Experience operating in an aviation site-based position

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties and responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager and Head of Construction
• Undertake a role requiring a regular on-site presence throughout the construction phase
• Monitor compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
• Actively promote and support a positive safety culture within the project team and across the construction site
• Attend safety leadership meetings and other relevant safety forums as required
• Fulfil the role of Site Project Manager ("SPM") as defined within the Contracting Entity's Direction D-O Construction Projects
• Undertake any other roles or responsibilities assigned under the Contracting Entity's Airport Directions or Safety Management System
• Review construction quality plans, inspection and test plans, and associated quality documentation
• Undertake construction quality assurance activities, including surveillance and monitoring, on design-and-build projects
• Regularly inspect the works to verify contract compliance with drawings and specs
• Review RAMS and monitor contractor programme progress
• Maintain a site diary and prepare daily site reports
