Job summary

Deep Digital is seeking a Senior Aveva PI Engineer in Ireland to lead design, implementation, and optimization of data historian solutions. You will integrate historian data with control systems and third‑party apps, mentor junior engineers and ensure secure, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on design, implementation and leadership in AVEVA PI and related systems.
• Experience with AVEVA PI, AspenTech IP.21, Inmation, Ignition, Kepware.
• Strong understanding of data integration and historian system architecture.
• Mentoring and team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Aveva PI data historian solutions.
• Lead efforts to integrate historian systems with control systems and third-party applications.
• Conduct performance analysis and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
• Design and configure complex data tags to meet specific project requirements.
• Develop custom interfaces and connectors to enhance data integration capabilities.
• Develop and implement advanced security measures to protect historical data.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, taking a lead role in audits and assessments.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues related to data collection, storage, and retrieval.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in the team.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all configurations, installations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Comply with Deep Digitals Quality Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.
