Job summary

Sunbeam Vets Kinsale Road, Cork, is seeking a Small Animal GP Veterinary Surgeon for 32 hours per week in a part-time, permanent role. You will manage a varied caseload, perform routine surgeries, and provide high-quality patient care within a supportive team.

VCI registration is required. You will join a close-knit practice with access to Sunbeam Veterinary Group resources across the network, including referral services and 24/7 emergency support.

Qualifications

• Must be VCI registered and able to manage routine first opinion medical and surgical cases independently.
• Experience in dog and cat spays, lump removals, routine diagnostics, case workups, and ongoing medical management.
• Not suitable for new graduates or those requiring close supervision due to autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of first opinion small animal cases from presentation to diagnosis, treatment and ongoing case management.
• Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and develop treatment plans with appropriate diagnostic interpretation.
• Occasional sole-charge duties with support from a collaborative team when needed.
• Collaborate with the wider Sunbeam network for advanced cases and referrals.
