Job summary

E-Frontiers is looking for a Software Engineer - Automation Tester in Dublin on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office) for a 12-month contract. You will design, implement and run automated tests for large-scale digital payments systems to ensure quality and reliability.

In a fast-paced Agile environment you will define test strategies, work with Playwright, Cucumber with TypeScript, mentor junior developers and help shape CI/CD and TDD practices to deliver robust software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation strategies.
• Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE stack and related frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, test and automate software components and subsystems.
• Develop and implement effective test automation strategies and solutions.
• Perform functional, automation and performance testing.
• Contribute to the definition of QA processes, standards and tooling.
• Work closely with software engineering and wider technology teams in an Agile environment.
• Ensure code is maintainable and managed effectively through version control.
• Participate in architectural and technical decisions.
• Provide task estimates and assess technical complexity.
• Take ownership for delivering assigned tasks on time and to the required quality standards.
• Mentor and support junior software developers.
• Share technical knowledge and best practice across the wider team.
• Work within a continuous integration and TDD environment.
