A leading automation solutions provider based in Cork is seeking an experienced Automation Project Scheduler. This critical role involves developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, resource allocation, and forecasting. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in automation project scheduling within a life sciences manufacturing environment and proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project. Qualifications

  • Hands on experience with scheduling platforms.
  • Strong understanding of critical path analysis.
  • Strong understanding of critical path analysis and resource loading.
  • Prior experience with resource forecasting, capacity planning and multi-project scheduling is a must.
  • Ability to work well both as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at one time.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Work closely with coders and testers to gather information on schedules.
  • Track progress and provide variance analysis against baseline plans.
  • Monitor and escalate schedule risks, delays and resource constraints where required.
  • Provide portfolio level reporting and dashboard insights for senior leadership.
  • Consolidate individual project schedules into a master schedule to support resource planning.
  • Attend and provide input at scheduled review meetings and assist with project controls processes.
  • Optimise resource allocation across projects, ensuring each project has sufficient resources while also highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
  • Generate forecast reports for resource demand and project timelines.

SimoTech has an opportunity for a Automation Project Scheduler to join our team, supporting one of our multinational clients based in Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated schedules, resource allocation, and producing accurate forecasts to support proactive project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a life sciences manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creation and maintenance of detailed project schedules using tools including Primavera P6, MS Project, Planner and Smartsheets.
