Job summary

Trent Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Automation Engineer in Dublin to design and deliver electrical and automation systems.

You will work from concept to commissioning, including lab trials and on-site assessments, supporting sales, service, and production as required. The role requires strong PLC programming skills and hands-on experience with RSStudio, FTME/FTSE, Siemens TIA, WinCC and GX Works, plus solid motor control and electrical cabinet design knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
• 3+ years post-qualification experience required.
• Strong PLC programming experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify and evaluate electrical and automation equipment for new or existing products.
• Develop project electrical schematics and PLC/HMI/SCADA controls.
• Implement engineering changes and release design modifications.
• Build prototype units and engage in hands-on testing and trials.
• Visit customer sites to evaluate product performance and address site-specific issues.
