Job summary

Ipsen Manufacturing Ireland Ltd in Dublin is seeking an Automation (Control Systems) Engineer to join our Operational Technology (OT) team. This hands-on role supports API manufacturing through day-to-day automation hardware and software, electrical installations, and integrated control systems across S7 PLCs, HMI/SCADA and BMS environments.

You will plan and execute projects, lead continuous improvement initiatives, manage change controls, and ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR Part

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automation, Controls or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with manufacturing/industrial process automation in Life Science.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, Batch systems, and BMS.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day automation support for API manufacturing facilities.
• Plan and execute control system upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Lead root cause analysis and incident investigations for control systems.
• Ensure GMP/compliance with GxP lifecycle processes and EHS policies.
