Job summary

Lever, Inc. in Ireland is seeking an Automation Engineer (Customer Service) to transform repetitive support processes into scalable automation.

You will design and build automated workflows, AI-powered agents, and self‑service experiences, integrating with internal systems to reduce manual effort and handle growing customer volumes. You will work hands-on with ticketing data, REST APIs, LLMs, and cloud infrastructure, contributing to automation for billing and data requests.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on automation or backend development.
• Strong Python development skills for production-quality automation.
• Experience with REST APIs and integrating multiple systems.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs, AI agents, or applied AI.
• Ability to design reliable, scalable automation systems.
• English working proficiency.
• Experience with N8N, Temporal, Terraform, or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jira or other ticketing systems is a plus.
• Team collaboration with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Experience in customer operations or support engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build agents and automation scripts that streamline quota request processing.
• Develop self-service workflows for billing and data requests.
• Design, build, and maintain LLM-powered agents that help support engineers resolve complex tickets.
• Develop and maintain N8N workflows for customer notifications and operational processes.
• Integrate automation solutions with REST APIs, including Jira and billing systems.
• Contribute to tooling supporting planned cluster operations, including Terraform configurations and runbooks.
• Maintain and continuously improve existing automation as volumes increase.
• Design automation systems with reliability, maintainability, scalability, and operational simplicity in mind.
• Work closely with Customer Service and engineering stakeholders to identify repetitive processes and convert them into automations.
• Evaluate and adopt technologies to improve efficiency and quality of customer operations.
