AstraZeneca is seeking a senior leader to set the automation, OT and digital manufacturing agenda for our Dublin site. You will shape multi-year roadmaps, lead a cross‑functional team and partner with IT, QA and engineering to keep operations compliant, resilient and future‑ready.

You will steward the control systems and data backbone, champion Industry 4.0, advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve safety, quality, reliability and cost.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor-level engineering or related field required; advanced degree desirable.
• 10+ years in GMP/pharma/biopharma with large automation leadership.
• Experience delivering roadmaps, budgets, vendors and multi-stakeholder programs.
• Strong knowledge of automation architecture, security and lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to apply data, AI and digital tech to engineering problems.

Aufgaben

• Own Automation, OT and Digital Manufacturing strategy for the site.
• Provide strategic and technical leadership for PLC, MCS, MES, and interfaces.
• Set standards for architecture, documentation and lifecycle governance.
• Ensure systems are validated, secure, available and inspection-ready.
• Develop flexible OT systems for multi-product manufacturing and NPIs.
• Lead RCA, CAPA, changes, risk assessments and investigations.
• Partner with IT and global teams on cybersecurity improvements.
• Identify opportunities for AI, analytics, digital twins and predictive maintenance.
• Lead automation workstreams for capital projects and technology transfers.
• Approve vendor designs, testing approaches and implementation plans.
• Manage supplier and OEM relationships with focus on risk and support.
• Develop budgets, workforce plans and KPIs for safety, reliability and cost.
