Job summary

Autism A Chara in Ireland seeks a Facilitator to help adults with autism across residential, respite, day and community settings. You will tailor support to each person’s needs and promote independence.

Requiring a QQI Level 5 Health Care qualification and a full, clean manual driving licence, you will work with families and carers to enhance quality of life and community participation.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Health Care is essential.
• Awareness of Key Worker/Support Worker role and philosophy around supporting people with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Learn about me: understand my needs and priorities.
• Adapt communication style to suit individual requirements.
• Be fun, engaging, patient and kind.
• Assist with daily living activities and routines, including personal care.
• Support engagement in the community and skill development.
• Help clients understand their rights and make choices.
