Job summary

Hanami International is recruiting an Audit Senior (Crypto/blockchain/funds) in Dublin to lead crypto and digital asset audits within a prominent Irish financial services practice. You will advance the crypto audit offering and work closely with FS Audit Directors on engagements.

Expect to mentor junior staff, engage with senior stakeholders, and contribute to a growing practice that highlights digital assets and MiCA-regulated dynamics in Ireland.

Qualifications

• 4+ years external audit experience with a Big Four/Top 10 firm.
• Hands-on audit experience with crypto or blockchain clients.
• Curious about technology and able to explain crypto concepts to non-technical teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication in client-facing scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Run crypto and digital asset audits from planning through completion under IFRS and FRS 102.
• Test existence, ownership and valuation of digital asset balances and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with IT audit specialists on custody and private key controls.
• Review draft financial statements and disclosures with Senior Manager and Directors.
• Supervise junior staff and develop crypto knowledge within the team.

What you’ll be doing

• Running crypto and digital asset audits from planning and fieldwork through to completion, under IFRS and FRS 102
• Testing the existence, ownership and valuation of digital asset balances, including wallet confirmations and reconciling trades and holdings back to the ledger
• Identifying the key audit risks and working with IT audit specialists on custody and private key controls
• Reviewing draft financial statements and disclosures, and taking your findings to the Senior Manager and Directors
• Supervising associates, reviewing their work and helping them build crypto know-how

About you

• ACA, ACCA, CA or CPA qualified
• 4+ years external audit experience with a Big Four/Top 10 firm
• Hands-on audit experience with crypto or blockchain clients (or Irish Asset Management/Funds)
• Curious about how the technology works, and you dig into a new token or exchange until you understand it
• Confident with clients, and able to explain a tricky crypto balance to a finance team in plain English
