Job summary

Forvis Mazars Ireland Limited is seeking an Audit Director for its Privately-Owned Business team. You will lead a portfolio of audit clients with turnover ranging from €10m to €250m, collaborating with Partners and senior managers to deliver high-quality audits.

You will drive client relationships, mentoring, and adherence to global audit standards, while guiding advisory projects and cross-functional collaboration on financial advisory and tax matters.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum PQE in a medium or large practice environment.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organisational and planning capabilities.
• Ability to guide and coach staff at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior Partners, managers, and a portfolio of audit clients in the privately-owned business segment.
• Maintain and develop client relationships and drive continued growth within the firm.
• Ensure audit quality and consistency of approach using global audit methodology.
• Manage departmental resources and client portfolios to balance utilization and recovery.
• Meet department targets for FCR, Billing, Net Fee Income and Cash collection while achieving personal and firm-wide goals.
• Mentor, train and support staff across the team.
• Contribute to advisory projects such as strategic business plans, acquisitions accounting, structure changes, and cross-team collaboration with Financial Advisory and Tax.

The Position

We wish to appoint an Audit Director with 5 years (minimum) PQE to join our Privately-Owned Business team. You will work closely with experienced Partners, senior managers and managers on a portfolio of audit clients in our privately-owned business segment, who typically have a turnover of €10m-€250m across a broad range of commercial sectors such as technology, retail, distribution, professional services and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• As Director you will work closely with the rest of the senior management team in maintaining and developing client relationships

• Our technical excellence is underpinned by our global audit methodology and platform. You will have an integral roll in maintaining audit quality and consistency of approach is maintained;
• Managing departmental resources are available to ensure appropriate utilisation in managing a portfolio of clients resourced from a combined pool of staff to achieve client service combined with targeted firm recovery;
• Measurement against collective (departmental) targets for FCR, Billing, Net Fee Income and Cash collection as well as personal and firm-wide goals
• Developing staff in areas of mentoring, training and ongoing support.
• Experience working directly on advisory projects such as:
• - developing strategic business plans;
• - technical accounting for acquisitions and changes in structure;
• - accounting framework transitions;
• - project collaboration with Financial Advisory and Tax team members.
