Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate or similar qualification.
• Knowledge of products, regulatory environment and local insurance market.
• Analytical thinking with the ability to underwrite and analyze information.
• Communication skills to negotiate with agents and brokers.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned portfolio of routine accounts.
• Underwrite and negotiate routine risks to minimise risk and maximise profitability.
• Develop portfolio management and target new business and retention.
• Take corrective action with Manager/Team based on risk characteristics.
• Identify and capture opportunities to write additional lines of business.
• Utilise technology platforms to quote and bind risk efficiently.
• Maintain relationships with internal partners to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with brokers by phone or email to market Travelers products.
• Travel to meetings as required.
• Execute submission, quotes and renewals with guidance from manager and sales team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
