Job summary
WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Associate/Technical Director to shape our water environment practice in Ireland. You will guide teams, strengthen technical capability, and influence delivery of industry-leading outcomes for clients including water utilities.
You will lead urban drainage modelling capability, manage delivery teams, and provide independent technical input to innovative projects while expanding client engagements and business development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling and QA of outputs
- Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and relevant British Standards
- Experience guiding teams on urban drainage projects and delivery
Responsibilities
- Lead development of urban drainage modelling capability and stay ahead of evolving methods
- Support day-to-day management of the technical delivery team
- Provide authoritative technical input and collaborate with wastewater team
- Apply professional judgement to solve engineering challenges and drive innovation
- Build trusted client relationships and chair/participate in project meetings
- Contribute to proposals and strategic growth opportunities
- Represent WSP at industry forums and conferences
- Share knowledge to develop the wider water team
