Job summary

Stryker Ireland is seeking an Associate Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing activities for assigned suppliers and commodities. You will negotiate terms, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate sourcing for new product development projects.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in sourcing, strong negotiation skills, and experience with ISO13485 standards. A Bachelor's in a related field is required, with a Master’s or CPM preferred. Ireland pay range is clearly disclosed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or similar is required.
• Master’s degree or CPM certification preferred.
• 6+ years of work experience required; 3+ years in strategic sourcing and supplier development.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of strategic sourcing activities to obtain best quality, service and value.
• Coordinate sourcing needs for new product development projects and supplier selection with Global Sourcing Strategy.
• Negotiate supplier cost reductions and NRE reductions with commodity teams when costs rise.
• Identify process improvements to speed to market and improve quality and delivery.
• Build cross-functional relationships with Design, Advanced Operations and R&D teams.

What you will do-

The Associate Sourcing Manager will lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing activities in assigned suppliers and/or commodities with the goal of obtaining the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. The Associate Sourcing Manager willbe responsible forcoordinating sourcing needs for new product development projects, including completion of supplier selection with agreement to Global Sourcing Strategy, regularly reporting material costs, managing schedules, and defining final materiallogistics. Acts asliaisonfor all sourcing activities to Design and Advanced Operations teams. Additionalresponsibilities: Ensure project teams adhere to strategic direction of Global Sourcing andpurchasingcontrols requirements related to design projects Leverage improvements to project timelines from experience w/ key suppliers and project teams Preliminary influence on key project team members to inspire quicker overall deliverables for projects Negotiate supplier cost reductions and NRE reductions in conjunction w/ commodities teams when cost increases experienced Drives key efficiencies w/ suppliers and communication tools support faster & more product launches Identifyprocess improvements to either supplier or Stryker processes to drive better speed to market, quality, and long-term delivery May support more projects or projects that expand across multiple business units Builds engaging relationship with variety of R&D engineering teams Builds relationships within Operations by becoming a value-added and sought-after resource Builds relationships across Global Sourcing Group Lead sourcing analysis and selection process and perform cost analyses and make versus buy analyses asrequired Identifysupply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans for new products.

What you need-

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or similar isrequired Master's Degree or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) is preferred 6+ years of work experiencerequired 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and supplier development - Highly preferred Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and servicesrequired Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractualterms, andcontract administrationrequired Working knowledge of ISO13485 standards and requirements preferred Project Management experience and solid understanding of project management tools preferred Manufacturing management, manufacturing engineering, buying, production planning or new product development experience is preferred Ireland Pay Ranges: Ireland: €59,000 - €100,000 EUR Annual At Stryker, we believe transparency helps candidates make confident decisions about their next career step.
