Job summary

Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing in Ireland is seeking an Associate Scientist for its Molecular Cell Biology Team in Dungarvan. The role focuses on quality control testing of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with predefined quality and safety standards.

You will perform routine analyses, maintain accurate records, and participate in continuous improvement while adhering to GMP guidelines. Weekend/on-call duties may be required and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in molecular cell biology or related scientific discipline.
• At least 2 years experience with Cell Based Potency assays in GMP environment.
• Strong documentation skills and good GMP understanding.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Proactive, flexible and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analysis with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete test records on time, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for quality and service improvement; contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Adhere to GMP guidelines and internal quality standards; ensure all activities are documented and traceable.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis and prepare Exception reports.
• Gain proficiency in assigned tests/areas of testing; maintain training records.
• Provide training to colleagues in techniques/tests where competency is proven.
• Provide cover for colleagues as required.
• Participate in weekend rota, overtime, and On-Call/Call-out schedules.
