Job summary

AECOM in Cork is seeking an Associate: Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex healthcare and education projects across Cork and the Munster region. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, client relationships, and governance to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The role offers hybrid work options and a focus on growth within public sector markets, contributing to AECOM’s project management practice and client development.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Professional membership of a recognised institution (e.g., Chartered Engineer/Surveyor/Builder).
• Significant experience in project management of complex capital projects, preferably within a construction consultancy environment.
• Experience delivering healthcare, hospital, education, or public sector buildings from inception through handover.
• Strong knowledge of governance, programme management, procurement, contract administration, cost management, and risk management.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and working with public sector clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of healthcare and education projects through all lifecycle stages.
• Manage projects against scope, programme, budget, quality, and risk objectives.
• Develop strong client relationships with public sector organisations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across design, engineering, and supervision.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and recommendations for clients and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and governance standards.
