Assistant Director of Nursing
The role of the Assistant Director of Nursing shall be to support the Director of Nursing /PIC in the clinical and professional leadership of the care teams and to deliver direct resident care.
Role: ADON – Assisted Director of Nursing
Reports to: DON – Director of Nursing
The Assistant Director of Nursing duties includes but not limited to:
- The Assistant Director of Nursing will support the Director of Nursing/PIC in the clinical and professional leadership of the care teams and to deliver direct resident care.
- Monitor and supervise the delivery of care to residents living In Craddock House Nursing Home.
- Promote and maintain resident safety and provide quality care through respecting the privacy, dignity, and rights of the resident.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Nursing Qualifications (Essential)
- Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Essential)
- A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience of nursing older people within the previous 6 years
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and clinical nursing practice together with future trends in elder care.
- Hold a post registration management qualification in health or a related field
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- ADON experience would be an added advantage.
