Job summary

Keelings is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to support daily warehouse operations across Ireland. You will help manage orders post-production, train staff on systems, and ensure despatch accuracy to meet customer specifications.

You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager, cover holidays, and participate in stock counts and safety initiatives, driving improvements and KPI performance across the site.

Qualifications

Excellent people management skills.
Strong communicator with clear written and spoken English.
Good level of numeracy essential for planning.

Responsibilities

Manage and pick orders post-production.
Trains warehouse staff in the use of work status, network, and software applications
Despatch all goods with customer specification,
Vehicle temperature checks
Check goods against pick list and amend discrepancies
Manage stock and stock counts with the Stock controller
Participate in periodic warehouse inventories
Support Continuous Improvement activities in line with company strategy
Maintain safety and address hazards within the warehouse
Covers Warehouse operations in the absence of the Warehouse Manager
Assist with secondary site coverage as required
Develop and modify warehousing policies and procedures
Ensure safe pallet build and wrapping
Manage team performance and workload scheduling
Assist with asset management as needed

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will work across warehousing operations to support the warehouse manager in daily operations. They will also cover Warehouse Manager holidays/ Absence etc.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Manage and pick orders post-production.

Trains warehouse staff in the use of work status, network, and software applications

Despatch all goods with customer specification,

Vehicle Temperature checks

Check Goods accordingly to pick list and amend any discrepancies in pick list.

Amend sales dockets accordingly to products checked in despatch.

Manage stock and stock counts with the Stock controller and ensuring due process is followed to resolve any ongoing issues.

Participates in periodic warehouse inventories.

Support and engage in Continuous Improvement activities in line with company strategy.

Excellent communication with Peers and Management on Service level, Operational and staffing concerns and any other issues that impacts performance on a continuous basis.

Proactively identify and address hazards within the category in the warehouse and actively manage H&S with his team within the warehouse and wider area.

Manage staff performance and discuss any issues with the Warehouse Manager.

Brings work-load and scheduling problems to the attention of the Warehouse Manager.

Covers Warehouse operations in the absence of the Warehouse Manager and may be asked to manage secondary sites periodically

May be required to act as cover for goods in and out supervisors/managers as well as supporting with auction materiel and stock counts and return loads

Works closely with manager in the development and modification of specialized warehousing policies and procedures.

Make sure that's all work is safely carried out including pallet build and wrapping.
