Job summary

Centra Cork City Centre is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations, deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a fresh food offer in a clean, safe store.

You will report to the Store Owner and Store Manager, manage rostering and attendance, drive KPIs, and develop the team while supporting community engagement and store compliance with policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a management position.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets.
• thrives in a fast-paced working environment.

Assistant Store Manager - Centra Cork City Centre

Reports to: Store Owner, Store Manager

Direct Reports: Trainee Manager, Department Managers, Supervisor and Sales Assistants

Main Purpose of the Job:

Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively and provides our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times in a clean, safe environment. To deliver on key store targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operations.

Relevant Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management position;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word);
• An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets;
• Thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

Main Duties:

1. Always ensure that customer satisfaction is the number one priority by greeting each customer as if it’s their first visit to the store and consistently deliver an exceptional service by displaying I-CARE service excellence behaviours;
2. Organised, self-driven, excellent attention to detail and use own initiative;
3. Support the Store Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the store by prioritising and delegating the workload appropriately;
4. Foster good working relationships among the team and with local community.
5. Ensure adherence to Store rules, policies and procedures;
6. Ensure the adequate timekeeping and attendance of employees;
7. Manage employee rostering and annual leave and maintain accurate and secure records;
8. Ensure merchandising and presentation of entire store is of the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines;
9. Support Store Manager in achieving Retail Excellence Standards;
10. Assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence;
11. Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working;
12. Perform any other duties or assume any other responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time. These may be outside of your normal area of work. Furthermore, you may be assigned to work in other areas within the Store on either a temporary or permanent basis

Pay: €36,200.00-€37,000.00 per year
