The School of Natural Sciences and the Discipline of Botany seek to appoint a tenure track position of Assistant Professor in Plant Functional Genomics at Trinity College Dublin. The successful applicant will have an established reputation in teaching and research in fields pertinent to plant functional genomics at national, regional, or global levels, with a strong track record of scientific publications commensurate with career stage. We are seeking a candidate with strong lab skills and, ideally, expertise in transcriptional, protein and chromatin analyses including specialist knowledge in -omics techniques (e.g. RNA-seq) and bioinformatic analyses of large scale -omics datasets. We are interested in candidates who have experience with plant model organisms used in genetics research (e.g. Arabidopsis), as well as model Irish crops. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research focuses on how plants sense and respond to abiotic stress at the molecular level, plant epigenetic responses and the molecular basis of plant resilience to climate change.
Tenure Track – This position is Tenure Track positions which is 5-years in the first instance, permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements.
