Job summary

Coffey is looking for an Assistant Planner to join our Construction Services team in Athenry, Galway. You will help develop and maintain logic-linked project programmes from tender through delivery, supporting project teams with programme updates and schedule analysis to identify risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years planning experience in electromechanical, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and resource planning.
• Experience with MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills.
• Commercial and contractual awareness.
• Tendering/pre-construction experience desirable.
• A full Irish/EU driving licence is required where travel between project locations is necessary.
• Authorized to work in Ireland i.e. stamp 4 or critical skills visa

Responsibilities

• Support the development, maintenance and monitoring of programmes for bids and live projects.
• Assist with baseline programmes, programme updates, progress reporting and schedule analysis.
• Identify potential delays, risks and opportunities and support appropriate actions.
• Help project teams understand key milestones, critical activities and deliverables.
• Apply Coffey’s Planning Manual and support planning activities across multidisciplinary projects.
• Develop knowledge of contract forms, project controls, risk and tendering.
• Build effective relationships with project stakeholders
