Job summary

Beech Park Nursing Home in Kildare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead clinical governance and nursing teams, ensuring high standards of resident care within a growing Beechfield Care Group. You will act as a visible role model and drive patient safety and experience.

The role requires NMBI registration, elder care management experience and strong leadership qualities. A post-registration management qualification is preferred, with flexibility and commitment to staff development.

Qualifications

• NMBI Registered Nurse with elder care experience.
• Nursing management experience in the elder care setting.
• Post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
• Thorough knowledge of HIQA standards, regulations and governance in a Nursing Home setting.
• Proven track record in management.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to promote a team environment.
• Sound decision making ability and results driven.
• Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the company.
• Gerontology/Dementia qualification would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership, motivation and supervision to ensure high standards of care.
• Provide line management and develop the clinical nursing teams, care teams and individuals as required within the Care Group.
• Support the delivery of care through patient and staff engagement, clinical supervision and holding self and others to account for the delivery of care in the nursing home.
• Develop innovative strategies to guide and coach Nursing teams in developing and strengthening leadership skills and succession planning.
• Deputise for the Director of Nursing when required.
• Assist and act as a catalyst in determining service needs and plans in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and Management.
• Ensure that resources are used effectively and appropriately.
• Any other duties as required.

Beechfield Care Group are now hiring for an Assistant Director of Nursing to assume responsibility for the overall management of Beech Park Nursing Home, Denmurry, Kildare.

Main duties of the job

The Assistant Director of Nursing will provide professional and managerial leadership at Beech Park Nursing Home, Kildare. The post holder will act as a professional visible role model.
