Job summary

Next Generation Recruitment in Dublin seeks an Assistant Contracts Manager to join the operations team and act as deputy project lead, supporting HSEQS management, risk control and progress against the Project Execution Plan.

You will work with the Contracts or Project Manager to deliver design and construction projects, manage RAMS, and foster strong relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers while maintaining high safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational, planning or engineering roles within construction.
• Knowledge of RAMS, permitting and site safety requirements.
• Strong communication across clients, teams and the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Support the Contracts or Project Manager in delivering design and construction projects.
• Drive HSE management and continuous improvement onsite.
• Assist in managing project delivery teams and mitigating risk.
• Contribute to Project Execution Plans and monitor progress against them.
• Draft, review and approve RAMS with the Contracts or Project Manager.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers.
• Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and uphold quality standards onsite.
• Support procurement, ensuring trade contractors understand project requirements.

Job description

This role sits within the operations function, reporting to the Contracts Manager. The Assistant Contracts Manager acts as deputy project lead, supporting health, safety, environment, quality and sustainability (HSEQS) management, risk management, and progress against the Project Execution Plan (PEP).

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Contracts or Project Manager in delivering design and construction projects
• Take an active role in HSE management, driving continuous improvement onsite
• Assist in managing project delivery teams and mitigating risk
• Contribute to Project Execution Plans and monitor progress against them
• Draft, review and approve RAMS with the Contracts or Project Manager
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers
• Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and uphold quality standards onsite
• Support procurement, ensuring trade contractors understand project requirements

What You'll Need

• Proven experience in operational, planning or engineering roles within construction
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction or Engineering
• IOSH (or equivalent) health and safety management training
• Knowledge of RAMS, permitting and site safety requirements
• Strong communication skills across clients, teams and the supply chain
