Job summary

Our client, a leading global financial institution, seeks a Legal Counsel to join its Asset Servicing Legal team in Dublin. You will advise on a broad range of commercial, regulatory and transactional matters across custody, depositary, fund accounting and related services.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, draft and negotiate commercial contracts, and help manage legal risk across a diverse range of products.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister licensed to practise in Ireland.
• Ideally 3–8 years' PQE, although strong candidates outside this range will be considered.
• Experience gained within a leading law firm and/or a financial services organisation.
• Strong commercial contracts and negotiation experience.
• Experience within the funds, asset management, investment servicing or wider financial services sector.
• Exposure to custody, depositary, transfer agency, fund accounting, middle office or related investment servicing activities are required.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial judgement and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and client contracts.
• Advise on legal, regulatory and strategic matters impacting the asset servicing business.
• Support business initiatives, new product developments and client transactions.
• Partner with colleagues across Legal, Compliance, Risk and other control functions.
• Identify, elevate and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
• Work closely with stakeholders across Ireland, EMEA and globally.
• Manage external legal counsel where required.
• Contribute to legal projects and broader business initiatives.
