Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Carrickmacross is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the site maintenance function, delivering engineering best practice, maximising asset performance and supporting operational excellence. You will develop preventative maintenance strategies, drive standardisation across production areas, manage budgets, coach the maintenance team and champion continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Significant engineering and maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of asset management and preventive maintenance systems.
• Experience managing maintenance teams and departmental budgets.
• Strong understanding of site utilities, services, and infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people development skills.
• Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site maintenance department to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
• Develop and implement asset management best practices and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Drive standardisation of engineering systems across production areas.
• Manage maintenance systems, spare parts control, and utilisation of Holistech and MYMRO.
• Oversee maintenance budgets and control expenditure on spare parts and engineering activities.
• Plan and prioritise maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
• Develop, coach, and support maintenance teams through training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement across engineering and operations.
• Collaborate with production and project teams to successfully deliver new equipment, products, and process developments.
• Manage contractor performance, ensuring safety, quality, and value for money.
• Monitor and maintain site engineering KPIs and compliance standards.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, and legislative requirements.
